Why Rawalpindi Ring Road project has become controversial even before construction?

What is the Rawalpindi Ring Road project?

NesPak’s initial report on the Ring Road project was approved by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

The Asian Investment Bank also offered a 40 400 million loan for the project on easy terms. Negotiations with this bank took place in 2018 and after more than two years no negotiations took place again.
In the light of this report, besides Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and Deputy Commissioner Attock, ADCR Rawalpindi, AC Rawalpindi President and Fateh Jang and Chief Officer Fateh Jang Tehsil Council have been transferred and it is recommended in this report that the prudent authorities must also find out from these people their position on their criminal negligence and silence.
